Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Mackenzie resides in Pittsburgh with her husband and 18-month old son. Her grandfather worked in Aluminum Recycling and her father works in the Steel Industry.  She would say metal is in her blood.  She started making jewelry around the age of 15 for friends during prom season, family weddings, then hosting small house parties where she featured and sold her one of a kind creations. Mackenzie's mom has nurtured her inner artist from the beginning and enrolled Mackenzie in a jewelry class. The class focused on taking apart old pieces of unworn or broken jewelry and designing a wearable piece of art. That class changed the course of Mackenzie's life.  From then on, she felt she was meant to make jewelry. She earned her BFA from Kent State University where she majored in metals and enamel.  Additionally, she studied gold and silver smithing abroad in Florence, Italy. Mackenzie then furthered her Artist Career by opening an Art Gallery on King Street in Charleston SC, that displayed various types of art work from local artists including herself.

Her artwork spans from limited edition and one-of-a-kind jewelry. Mackenzie has always had a passion for the environment and everything in it, so she takes pride in making her jewelry from recycled and reclaimed metals. She wants to infuse her jewelry with the love she has for color, playfulness, and texture.  Her work has been featured in magazines like Charleston Style & Design, ART MAG, and Charleston Shop Curator. She has also won awards for her creative and imaginative necklace designs including Best In Show at Palmetto Hands. When you select a piece from her collection, she wants your inner spirit and wild child to shine through, and her hope is that you enjoy wearing it as much as she has enjoyed creating it.
