Laurie's work is influenced by nature and the endless creations with attention to the smallest of detail. Intriguing cabochons, semi-precious gemstones, and precious metals, inspire her to design and fabricate unique artisan jewelry, creating one-of-a-kind works of art. Her metal-smithing skills have evolved over the years of more than bezel-setting a stone, to generating a stylized imagery, as well as casting botanicals and found objects in silver and bronze, using the lost wax method that captures nature's splendor. Cast pieces are incorporated into jewelry designs and are beautiful and stunning alone as a ring or pendant.
